Sykes history stretches back to 1894, when Alfred Sykes set up a business in King St, New Plymouth in New Zealand. He first made cordials during summer and drenches and ointments during winter. As his business grew, he moved to Melbourne, Australia with his two sons to focus on expanding further into dairy.
As time moved on, John White, pharmacist and farmer, purchased Sykes from the Sykes family, and as part of a new family business set up new manufacturing facilities including the Sypharma business and purchased veterinary brands such as Potties, Rapidvite and Vetex with their own Australian History.
